Sahodaya, a concept literally meaning ‘Rising Together’, came into being in the year 1986, to facilitate synergy of ideas among the schools of CBSE family for excellence in education. A Sahodaya School Complex is a group of neighborhood schools voluntarily coming together to share their innovative practices in all aspects of school education including curriculum design, evaluation, pedagogy and also providing support services for teachers and students.

Since its inception GSSA has been trying to provide a common platform to the students and teachers of its member schools to coordiate and cooperate and to make the teachers and taughts able to get ultimate aim of education. The concept of “Rising Together” has been our motto and we are committed for providing equal opportunities to all our members to attain highest level of Teaching Learing Process. Hoping that in future the coordiation, cooperation and bonding among the member schools will be strengthened.

The foundation stone of GSSA was laid down by Late P.C. Srivastava, who is the founder of RAMPUS.
The concept of Sahodaya was enunciated by CBSE way back in 1986 to facilitate synergy of ideas among the schools of CBSE for excellence in education Sahodaya Literally means “Rising Together for Excellence”. Excellence is the gradual result of always striving to do better.
In Initial Days, No. of schools associated with GSSA were fever but in the present day, over more than 70 schools have come under the umbrella of GSSA.
As GSSA, we voluntarily come together to share our innovative practices in all aspects of schools’ education. We provide support for teachers and students, in order for them to keep pace with the ever-changing Era of education.
Since the inception of GSSA from 2011 to the present-day various efforts have been made to provide the right type of guidance and opportunities to all the schools of Gorakhpur and nearby districts associated with GSSA.
Regular meetings and workshops are conducted to ensure an exchange of information and ideas, to appraises the work of Educational Institutions and to offer suggestions for the implementation & betterment of the same.
GSSA is working tirelessly with a true Sahodaya spirit, sharing and helping each other whenever needed, with the passage of time GSSA has become a close-knit family and we welcome you to join us and make this family bigger and better.

A school is a place where not only a student learns his subjects, teachers, Principal and Parents also learn various aspects of life skills. It is a place where the best creation of nature “the human being” is subjected to learn civilization. Hence, though which looks very simple from outside, a school is highly complex from inside. Internet has brought the entire world in one’s pocket. Any information is just a click away. Now awareness is dominating ignorance and Demand of Rights is now the 1st chapter of every book. Any institution is not complete as every individual will have a different set of requirement. Hence, the concept of सह उदय (Sahodaya) becomes more relevant.
Being a member of Sahodaya is not like fulfilling any CBSE circular, instead any school should become an Active Member of Sahodaya in their own interest, because alone you can’t grow and even if you do so you won’t be happy without sharing. So let’s join hands and Grow Together – the soul of sahodaya.

Gorakhpur Sahodaya School’s Association popularly known as GSSA came into existence in the year 2013 with 28 schools joining hand in hand to constitute a forum for cooperation and mutual assistance among CBSE affiliated schools of Gorakhpur and nearby districts. GSSA now is a family of more than 70+ schools with a shared vision of ‘Rising Together’ . No doubt that all the GSSA affiliated schools are tough competition for each other but when they come under the umbrella of GSSA, it is ONE BIG FAMILY with a single goal of achieving excellence be it in the field of academic or sports or the co-curricular activities. GSSA from its inception gave a bigger platform to all the students and school to showcase their potential. Innate intelligence functions with ease amidst love, harmony and freedom and when all such positivity work together – success is created. This philosophy propels GSSA towards conceptualized, personalized and connected with life learning. The Principals with the support of Management of different schools’ work as a team to make dreams of GSSA take shape of realities. GSSA works to serve the cause of education , for the betterment of the coming generation so that they live in a world “where knowledge is free and the head is held high”, “where the world has not been broken up into fragments by narrow domestic walls” and “the clear stream of reasoning has not lost its way” . As a treasurer, I have to administer and maintain the records of fee and funds and income and expenditure to keep the financial affairs systematic to progress the working of GSSA effectively. It is a huge responsibility to act as a treasurer of GSSA, but the unconditional support of all its members i.e., principals from different schools makes it a smooth and easy task. I pray for the success and progress of GSSA and wish that this association will march ahead always.
